What should I know?
Socrates once said, "Let food be
your medicine, and medicine be your food.."
How does Grape Seed
Extract work?
Grape seed extract works
within the body via its capacity in reducing oxidative stress and free radical activity. This may sound
fairly simple in its action - but do not be fooled! Virtually all aging and disease related activity that
takes place within the body is driven by an unregulated free radical activity. The enormously powerful poly
phenolics within our blend actively "mop up" these tissue damaging free radicals - thus protecting our
delicate DNA cellular material. Cardio vascular disease, macular degeneration, inflammation and so forth are
all signs of oxidative stress. polyphenols and
proanthocyanadins both actively reduce free radical
damage within the body. Read more about this at The Powerful Antioxidant - Grape Seed
Extract
It has become common knowledge that much of the cellular degeneration and organ breakdown that
occurs within us is driven by oxidative stress.
Where does Grape Seed Extract come
from?
As the name implies, grape seed extract is derived from the seeds of grapes. At one stage
the seeds, skins and so forth were discarded after processing. The true effects of grape seed
extract was realized when a group of individuals began making feed meal for cattle out of the
seeds due to the high level of protein within the seeds, and to cattle growers surprise their cattle began to
show better health, a longer life and less disease - needless to say scientists soon unravelled the remaining
secrets and the rest is history!
Still, there is an enormous disparity between seeds from different grapes - we use the
Muscadine Grape seed (vitus Rotundifolia), which has been found to have more than 40 times the
polyphenolic / antioxidant potency when compared to the
more common grape seed extract that is most commonly sold (the reason being it is very cheap to
use).
Is Grape Seed
Extract Safe?
Grape Seed Extract has been researched exstensively by
scientists for a number of years now - both in relation to its efficacy and safety. It has long been known
for thousands of years that by chewing the seeds within grapes was health promoting. The active
polyphenols and proanthocyanadins found within grape seeds have no known adverse reactions
within the body - even when ingested in very large dosages for prolonged periods of time! In fact, there have
been so many studies published in peer reviewed journals praising this extract for its powerful health
promoting qualities.

Do you use other excipients within your
blend?
In short, no. The thing with excipients is that depending
on what they are, they can either help or hinder. For example, excipients are added to capsuled products
primarily to assist in the capsulation process - especially when machine processed on a larger scale. Quite
often the excipient silica is used to assist the sliding of one capsule half into its other half. Invariably
this leads to a capsule that contains less active ingredients - not what one wants when paying good money for
a health product! Our product contains a blend of Muscadine Grape
Seed (Vitis Rotundifolia), and also various grape skins, being rich
in proanthocyanadins.
We do not use excipient / fillers such as quercetin, silica oatbran, glidants or similar additives. As mentioned
above this does make for a more difficult capsule to manufacture, the end consumer can rest assured that
their grape seed product is of the highest quality.
What dosage is
best?
Although there is no absolute dosage or daily value that has been established accross the
board, many retailers agree that somewhere within the vicinity of 500mg - 1000mg is optimal.
What quality checks does this product adhere
to?
Our Grape Seed Extract meets all of the
requirements set out by the appropriate regulatory bodies, whilst also being
GMP, HACCP, and
FDA certified.
Will resveratrol contravene my other
medication?
In short, the answer is no. Ingesting our grape
seed product will not contravene nor affect your current
medications.
